Our Process

A Modern Way to Plan

Financial planning shouldn’t feel like a stack of PDFs and quarterly surprises. We blend human advice with modern technology so your plan stays current, collaborative, and effortless to follow.

  • Always‑on collaboration: A secure client portal keeps your net worth, accounts, and to‑dos up to date

  • Real‑time insights: Automated data aggregation and analytics surface cash flow trends, tax opportunities, and investment drift

  • Paperless, streamlined onboarding: Digital forms, e‑signature, and a simplified account‑opening experience with our custodian of choice, Altruist

  • Clear meetings, clear follow‑through: Every meeting is summarized with action items, and you get a living checklist you can track anytime

  • Tax‑aware by design: Scenario modeling shows the after‑tax impact of decisions before you make them

  • Security first: Bank‑level encryption, multi‑factor authentication, and strict data‑sharing controls

Pricing

Simple. Transparent. No Hidden Fees.

Great financial advice should come with clarity, not confusion. That’s why we use a straightforward pricing model that reflects the value of both investment management and ongoing planning.

Our Investment Philosophy

Active management rarely wins consistently. Most active strategies lag their benchmarks after fees and taxes. If consistent outperformance is unlikely, the rational choice is to track the index.

Passive ETFs

  • Market‑wide diversification: US stocks, international stocks, and bonds via broad, low‑cost ETFs.

  • Low fees, transparent exposure: We prefer funds that tightly track their indexes and keep expenses minimal.

  • Rules‑based rebalancing: Portfolios drift as markets move. We rebalance to your targets on a schedule and when thresholds are reached.

Direct Indexing in Taxable Accounts

  • What it is: Instead of owning a single index fund, we own individual stocks that replicate the index. That lets us manage taxes at the position level.

  • Tax‑loss harvesting: We systematically realize losses and offset gains and income, while maintaining similar market exposure using wash‑sale–aware replacement rules.

  • Portfolio Transitions: We can set up capital gains budgets in accounts to transition taxable assets over time so we’re not realizing a large capital gain right away.

  • Basis management: We lot‑track to optimize which shares to sell when cash is needed, helping minimize capital gains over time.
